Marathon Seville 2017
The Seville Marathon Zurich XXXIII 2017 will run in our city on February 19.
For this new edition has expanded the number of participants to fourteen thousand runners.
The Seville Marathon is recognized as the Marathon with more plain circuit in Europe, also is at sea level and without winds, since it runs through the historic area of the city, making it a great opportunity to get a great brand for the fan to run these distances.
The first test in Seville was run in the year 1985 and throughout these 32 years has been consolidated as one of the favorite tests for lovers of long distance races, in honor of the heroic deeds of the Greek soldier Pheidippides who ran a similar distance between Marathon and Athens to announce victory over the Persian troops, around 490 BC.
The Seville test record is currently in the hands of the Kenyan Cosmas Lagat in the men’s category with a time of 2:08:14 and Marisa Barros of Portugal with a time of 2:26:03.
