Orchestra West-Eastern Divan perform at the Teatro Maestranza in Seville on August 18 will be the end of a six-nation tour, starting in Buenos Aires (Argentina), Salzburg (Austria), Berlin (Germany), Lucerne ( Switzerland), London (United Kingdom) and Seville (Spain).
The West-Eastern Divan Orchestra is an international cooperation initiative devised by the Argentine-Israeli musician Daniel Barenboim and Palestinian intellectual Edward Said.
The Baremboin -Said Foundation received the Prince of Asturias Award for Concord in 2002.
The program will be dedicated to Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The repertoire will be the last three symphonies composed by Austrian author:
Symphony No. 39 in E flat major, k.543
Symphony No. 40 in G minor, k.550
Symphony No. 41 in C major, k.551, Jupiter.
