The National Dance Company will star in the Spanish play of ‘Don Quijote’ from 11st to 14th of January 2018.
Spanish dance of “Don Quixote”
It consists of a classic ballet in three acts inspired by the literary work “Don Quixote”.
Don Quijote is a novel written by the Spaniard Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra, it is the most outstanding work of Spanish literature and one of the most important in universal literature.
On this occasion, the National Dance Company was inspired by the romantic versions of Marius Petipa and Alexander Gorski. The version focuses on the search for perfect love by the Knight and in the ostentatious romances between the characters Quiteria and Basilio.
Ludwig Minkus will be in charge of the ballet music and José Carlos Martínez will be in charge of the choreography. The last one has interpreted great ballets as ‘The Swan Lake’ and is the only dancer who has received the three most prestigious international dance awards.
The event will take place daily from 11st to 14th of January 2018 at 8:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased on the website www.generaltickets.com or at the box office at Paseo de Cristóbal Colón number 22 from 10 to 14 and from 17,30 to 20.30 hours. The price ranges between 30 and 60 euros per person.
