Seville has been chosen to chair the 45th edition of Japan Week from November 20 to 27, 2020. The city of Seville has already been chosen to host this event in 1997.
This event, which aims to spread Japanese culture and cultural exchange with other countries, will host more than five hundred Japanese artists. It is considered to be the most important event in Japanese culture worldwide.
The last editions took place in Prague (Czech Republic) in 2017, Turin (Italy) in 2018 and Athens (Greece) in 2019.
Japanese culture.
It is an event that seeks interaction with the public in open and free events, both in heritage buildings and squares, streets, sports centers, colleges or universities.
Real Alcázar, Plaza de San Francisco or Alameda de Hércules are among the heritage buildings proposed by the Seville City Council for that event.
There will be performances (concerts of Japanese traditional music, Japanese drums, dances, theater, kimono shows), workshops (calligraphy, crafts, food, tea ceremony, floral arrangements), exhibitions, sports events (with Japanese martial arts and other popular sports) and educational initiatives in the colleges and universities.
Do not miss the interesting program offered by this important event!
