Seville, finalist venue for the Technological Parks Congress.

The Cartuja Scientific and Technological Park in Seville has been chosen as one of the three finalists to be the host of the Technological Parks Congress in 2020 with Ljubljana and Monterrey as competitors.

First phase.

The PTC has passed the first phase of the International Association of Science Parks and Innovation Areas (IASP) that brings together science and technology parks, universities, research centers and innovation agents from around the world.

This is because PTC is made up of 56 buildings inherited from the 1992 Universal Exposition and 35 new buildings grouping 442 scientific, technological and training companies and entities. In addition, its location near the historic center and its good communications from any point of the city make it the perfect candidate to host this event.

The management company of the park is subject to the Ministry of Economy and Knowledge of Junta de Andalucía.

The economic repercussion seems to be very important since it supposes for the chosen city to become the global epicenter of innovation which will attract important professionals of the sector. In addition to that the visibility and publicity that the cities get are very strong.

Final phase.

The final verdict on the venue chosen to host the Congress of Technology Parks in 2020 will be taken in September at the annual meeting to be held in Isfahan, Iran.

Once the decision has been made the organizer will propose several discussion topics that will be the main keys around which the conference will revolve.
