Plaza Nueva in Seville will host the XXXXI edition of the Book Fair from May 3 to 13.
Plaza Nueva will be full of stands one more year to host the Seville Book Fair. It brings together important bookshops, publishers and writers who will sign their works to readers who have bought their book and wish it. Various cultural activities will also be developed for the whole family.
‘Mujeres de letras tomar’
This year the Fair will be dedicated to women and their important role in the book sector (editors, translators, illustrators, writers …), under the theme ‘Mujeres de letras tomar’.
The writer Almudena Grandes will be in charge of the inaugural lecture of this edition. Her role is very important as she has participated in practically all editions of the Seville Book Fair with the presentation and signatures of all his novels.
In addition to Almudena Grandes; Javier Sierra, Dolores Redondo, Nuria Barrios, Christian Gálvez, Vanessa Montfort and Manuel Vicent among others are also confirmed.
Ireland is the first country invited to the Seville Book Fair so activities and workshops will be dedicated to this country. To highlight the Irish presence at the Fair the novelist Lisa McInerney has been invited and a tribute will be made to Edna O’Brien both great Irish writers of the moment.
The schedule of the Fair is from Monday to Friday from 11:00 to 14:00 and from 18:00 to 22:00; Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 11:00 to 14:30 and from 18:00 to 22:00.
