Sevilla will try to beat the Guinness record of the largest tapas bar in the world today.
From 10:30 in the morning until 4:00 in the afternoon, which will be the largest tapas bar in the world to date, will serve 45,000 tapas by the 300 participating bars.
For this purpose, a 600 meter long bar with 6 access points will be installed which will connect the Torre del Oro with the Triana Bridge and where each company has a space of 2 meters where 2 representatives of the same will deliver to the public the chosen tapas.
Each establishment will prepare 3 cold tapas of which 50 units of each will be distributed. It is recommended that they be cold because there will be no elements available to be able to heat any food.
Each participant to the event will be given a free ticket for two tapas and a beer or mineral water. You can choose among all the tapas offered at the moment.
The event is organized by the company Makro in collaboration with the City Council of Seville, the Tourism of Seville consortium, the Association of Hoteliers of Seville and FACYRE (Association of Chefs and Reposteros of Spain) and is part of the activities organized by Makro national level on the occasion of the Restaurant Bussiness Day that is celebrated on October 9.
