The Brotherhood of San Benito celebrates in 2019 the XXV anniversary of the Canonical Coronation of Nuestra Señora de la Encarnación whose culminating function will be her extraordinary outing.
On December 10, 1994, Monsignor Fray Carlos Amigo Vallejo canonically crowned Nuestra Señora de la Encarnación in the Holy Cathedral, becoming the fifth Madonna crowned in Seville.
This year, after being approved by the General Council of Brothers, the celebrations for the XXV anniversary will begin on Saturday, December 7 and will end on Tuesday, December 17.
Functions
– Saturday 7 to Monday 9. Triduum in honor of Nuestra Señora de la Encarnación in the parish of San Benito.
– Tuesday 10. Solemn Function of the XXV Anniversary preached by Cardinal Carlos Amigo Vallejo and later hand-kissing of Nuestra Señora de la Encarnación.
– Friday 13. Outing of Nuestra Señora de la Encarnación under the canopy to the Holy, Metropolitan and Patriarchal Cathedral of Seville. From 5:00 p.m.
– Saturday 14. Solemn Pontifical Memorial Mass presided over by Our Nuestra Señora de la Encarnación at the Altar of the Jubilee. 8:00 p.m.
– Sunday 15. Outing back to the parish of San Benito of Our Nuestra Señora de la Encarnación in extraordinary triumphal procession. From 12:00 a.m.
– Tuesday 17. Mass of Thanksgiving and ending of the acts of the XXV Anniversary.
Nuestra Señora de la Encarnación will wear the mantle of Leopoldo Padilla in extraordinary outings, which is undergoing a process of restoration and completion of embroidery with a blue velvet past by the embroiderer Mariano Martín Santoja. The design of the enrichment is the work of Jesús Guerrero García.
In these outings will participate, as every Holy Tuesday, the Music Band of Puebla del Río who will interpret the new score of the march commemorating this anniversary “25 anniversario Encarnación” work of D. Abel Moreno.
The person in charge of designing the logo that will be used in all events related to the ephemeris was Javier González Castellano, brother of the brotherhood of San Benito. The poster of this anniversary has been painted by Ms. Isabel Castilla.
