Before becoming a gourmet market, the Naves del Barranco gourmet market have been a fish market cause the request of the fishermen of Ayamonte in 1883, it was a exhibition centre or a tourist information office.This old fish market, which today is known as the Naves del Barranco market is an architectural iron work which was build in the middle of 19th century.
The Lonja del Barranco market, is located next to the famous Puente de Triana with more than 700 square metres, it has a capacity for 2,000 people, which may be distributed inside or at the surrounding terraces overlooking the river Guadalquivir. It’s a purely Sevillian project which one recovers an emblematic space and it want to give a boost to a culinary tourism improving the tourism in the city.
