The GMchef gastronomic contest semifinal will be held in 6 Spanish cities during the months of September and October, including the city of Seville.
This Andalusian semifinal will host 5 future chefs, who will be evaluated by a first-class jury composed of renowned Michelin Star chefs, gastronomic critics and renowned journalists in the sector. These will opt for a spot in the GMchef Grand Final in Madrid.
GMChef Contest
The GMchef contest presents its fourth edition and consists of finding the author of the best cover among the students of the first course of Hospitality and Cooking.
In the first phase of the contest, the more than 200 Andalusian applicants presented the recipes through videos on the web and people could vote for their favorites. The five most voted contestants in each community are the ones who went to the semifinals.
This event will have as jurors Xanty Elíasà, chef Restaurante Acanthum (1 Michelin star); Davidoff Lugoà, Chef Restaurant and President Association of Cooks of the Canary Islands; a member of the Andalusian Academy of Gastronomy; Antonio Colsa, regional director of GMFood in the Zone of Andalusia; and Pepe Monforte, director of Comé Things.
The regional semifinal of Andalusia will be held in Seville on October 22 at the IES Heliopolis and the GMchef Grand Final will be held in Madrid on November 12.
