The Book Fair of Seville is the oldest literary event in the city. In 2017, it will be 50 years and 47 editions.
A historical reconstruction of the promotion of books and reading in Seville passes through the Book Fair, an event of reference organized in its origins from the public and has had, over the years, more or less institutional support.
The Book Fair 2017, which will be held from 18 to 28 May and will open Dolores Redondo, has confirmed the presence of numerous writers of interest to all readers such as Fernando Aramburu, Paul Preston, Manuel Vicent, Espido Freire, Javier Gomá, Care Santos, Carme Riera, Albert Espinosa and Blue Jeans.
In addition to the presentations and signatures, readers will also have the opportunity to meet the authors at round tables such as Javier Sierra, Eva Díaz Pérez and Alberto González Troyano on the theme ‘Painting and Literature’ – organized by Fundación José Manuel Lara in collaboration with the CAL-.
As always, the Fair will also host numerous activities aimed at children and young people and will continue with its successful program of school visits, organized by the Delegation of Education, Citizen Participation and Municipal Buildings of the City of Seville, which will remind Gloria Fuertes in his Centenary and Blas Infante.
