Next Thursday, the 20th will take place by the streets of Seville the Eucharistic celebration of Corpus Christi. The feast refers to the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ.
In the morning during the mass, the Seises (a group of ten children dressed in 16th century vestments) perform a sacred dance in front of the Blessed Sacrament of the Cathedral of Seville.
At 08:30 hours, the procession begins by the Door of Saint Michael in the Holy Cathedral Church of Seville. It carries out the following route: Cathedral, Avenue of the Constitution, Plaza de San Francisco, Sierpes, Campana, Martín Villa, Cuna, Plaza del Salvador, Villegas, Francos, Placentines, Plaza Virgen de los Reyes and Door of Palos of the Holy Cathedral Church.
The procession consists of nine paces, in order of departure: Santa Angela de la Cruz, Santas Justa and Rufina, San Isidoro, San Leandro, King San Fernando, the Immaculate Conception, the Infant Jesus, the Holy Thorn and the Blessed Sacrament. These paces are preceded by six pairs of acolytes, followed by the Sacramental Guidance of the Archbishop of Sagrario (Seville) and the representations of brotherhoods of glory, in order of seniority.
In the plaza of San Francisco Javier is placed an altar of the Glorious Crowned Virgin of the Hiniesta, patron saint of the City council of Seville and two archs that this year will be dedicated one to pay tribute to the 625 foundational anniversary of the Brotherhood of Los Negritos and also to the Pontifical Coronation of its Titular, the Virgin of the Angels (the cover oriented towards the Bank of Spain), and the other to the 50 foundational anniversary of the Brotherhood of La Sed (oriented to Sierpes street).
