Exhibition available until 8 April 2018
Since 29 November 2017, the Archaeological Museum of Seville has been hosting an exhibition on the Emperor Hadrian, born in Italica (Santiponce), to commemorate the anniversary of the arrival in power (year 117).
Pablo de Olavide University and the University of Seville collaborate in its organization, as well as pieces from other museums such as Murcia, Tarragona, Merida and Badajoz.
Archaeological Museum of Seville
It is located inside the María Luisa Park and during the Ibero-American Exhibition of Seville in 1929 it was a pavilion of Fine Arts.
The building dates from the beginning of the 20th century, designed by Aníbal González, author of the Plaza de España, a few metres from its location.
It has an important and extensive collection ranging from prehistory to medieval times, including classical sculptures and Roman mosaics. In addition to the permanent exhibition, exhibitions and activities are organized.
